Working Up a Sweat On a Cold Winter Day

On a freezing cold windy winter day the Lock Farm greenhouse  and high tunnel  are the places to go to get warn. Take a look at what the thermometers register.

Farmer John Gets Ready

Farmer John is looking over his seed order.

Variety is the spice of life and Farmer John has put a lot of thought into choosing a super variety of vegetables for the Lock Farm this year.

Among the 25 varieties that arrived in this box are: woodpecker spinach, lunchbox peppers, slick pic squash, and watermelon radishes.

A new variety of beets is also included. It is a variety that are idea for cooking and canning–easy to cut into uniform slices.
